Artist bio
Jasmine is a London based creative, visual artist, designer, performance maker, and creative producer. Her work spans across theatre, film, television, performance making, visual art, fashion, music, design, and creative production.
Her freelance work to date has incorporated a multidisciplinary creative exploration of the arts within music, art, fashion, design, visual arts, production, performance and spatial design.
As a self producing artist, designer and creative producer from London, Jasmine has an extensive background in production design for stage and screen, scenography, theatre design, creative art direction, production and management in the arts. She first trained at University of the Arts London, one of the world's leading art institutions beginning at Camberwell UAL in Art & Design and going on to specialise in performance design for stage and screen along with a postgraduate diploma in creative producing and professional studies.
Jasmine holds a Foundation Diploma in Art & Design where she specialised in design for performance, theatre, stage and screen at Camberwell College of Arts, going onto complete her degree BA (Honours) in Theatre Design at Wimbledon College of Arts. Jasmine has also trained with BBC Production Designer at Central St Martins, University of the Arts London in Production & Art Direction for Film and Television and has worked with Pinewood Studios trained Directors in her work in Film. She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Creative Producing with the CGO institute and is trained in Creative Practice and Facilitation.
As a multidisciplinary creative, innovator, producer & artist and CGO cohort 2 alumni Jasmine has been taught by world leading creatives such as Kath Burlinson RADA (Authentic Artist Collective) & David Glass (David Glass Ensemble) International Theatre Company. Jasmine is a Solo School course participant where she worked closely on two courses of the Solo School exploring her individual practice and solo work as an artist and creative being taught by Actor and Director of avant-garde theatre company ‘Edens Cave’ Henry McGrath.
Her creative projects incorporate multidisciplinary art forms and have developed through Performance, Fashion, Music, Design, Visual Art, and Production. Collaborations include work with London Contemporary Dance School at The Place, New Diorama Theatre at NDT Broadgate project supported by Jerwood Arts, Golden Globe and Bafta Award winning film company No.9, The School of Hope with The Paper Birds and Theatre Centre, Mountview Drama School MA Site-Specific Theatre. She has been coached and mentored by various creative professionals including Dean of performance Jayne Knowles during her extended diploma in professional studies to Kay Montano, who is a British make-up artist, who has been working from the late eighties to the supermodels of the nineties and the celebrities of the noughties, Montano has played a role in creating some of the key looks and images of the decades. This includes Calvin Klein’s Obsession campaign featuring Kate Moss.
Jasmine continues to pursue her solo practice as an artist and she has been actively engaging and working collaboratively with artists and professional creatives, producers, directors and designers. She has been aspiring to develop this more through her love of multidisciplinary art forms, exploring innovative concepts and work with other artists, professional practitioners, and creatives. Interested in building communities and creative collaborations that challenge and provoke new conversations, impact change through performance making, theatre, film, art & design, music and creative production, Jasmine continues to develop innovative concepts and work with other artists, performance-makers, and creative leaders throughout her career.
Jasmine is a member of The Society of British Theatre Designers with Public and Product Liability cover and is a member of the Stage Sight off stage workforce.

Backstory …
Jasmine’s Background★
Jasmine Eve had an alternative schooling at St Paul’s Steiner School in North London until the age of eight and then moved to a small rural village in the English countryside of Suffolk where she grew up with her mother and sister, visiting London and staying with her father in Finsbury Park and at Princess Park Manor(home to a number of young British celebrities, JLS, One Direction, Girls Aloud).
Returning to London to pursue her career journey as an Artist, Creative and Designer in 2015 - Having previously been offered a place at the BRIT school (alumni Adele, Amy Winehouse & Leona Lewis) and looking at Camden School for Girls. Jasmine accepted her place City and Islington Sixth Form returning to her old stomping ground when she was at Steiner School. Having spent the first 8 years of her life in Stoke Newington and where she returned to attend City & Islington Sixth Form College (alumni Paloma Faith & Reggie Ates). Jasmine studied History of Art, Fine Art, Philosophy and Fashion Textiles. She was encouraged and fuelled to pursue her love of fashion and textiles by former textiles teacher Dionne Sparkes and was then offered a place at Camberwell College of Arts, University of the Arts, London.
During Jasmine’s childhood she was lucky enough to travel and do some Global trotting to country’s thanks to her father, Remi Kuti (Business Professional, Global Speaker & WEFAward Winner).
Travelling with her sister Amber Kuti-Smith (singer Amber Kuti) to countries such as Cyprus, Egypt, in their Family villa on the coast of Spain & Mallorca where as children Amber and Jasmine hung out on close family friends yacht, snorkelling, sunbathing and living life.
Jasmine also had a love and close connection to nature educated by her mother Andrea Smith (CF, BA Hons, Spiritual Leader & Interfaith Minister), travelling to the States, New Jersey, Seattle & Niagara Falls after her mother won the Winston Churchill Award In 2003. Jasmine nearly moved to the South of France to complete her Steiner education but instead ended up completing her schooling in a rural village in Suffolk, England. She travelled to many English destinations such as Cornwall, Wales, Devon and regular camping holidays in North Norfolk, England. From a young age Jasmine had a deep connection to nature.
Returning to her old stomping ground in London Stoke Newington / Islington area, where she previously attended her alternative schooling in Steiner education - where she went to school with the likes of Izaak Theo Adu (Sade Adu), and other artists/actors children (St Paul’s Alumni including Lily Allen). Jasmine at this age had a small stint at The Anna Scher Theatre of independent Performing Arts School (geared towards working class students) this sprouted some well known faces on British television such as the famous British soap Eastenders and in film such as Oscar-winning actors Daniel Kaluuya. ★
