All Beautiful Things

A site specific performance inspired by Charlotte Bronte’s Jane Eyre and Jean Rhys Wide Sargasso Sea. A journey through the women’s lives, and those close to them, shaped often by patriarchal and racially prejudiced societies they existed within.

Explore the bleak and bitter landscape of the Yorkshire Moors, following the life of Charlotte Bronte’s renowned literary creation, Jane Eyre. Audiences shall be led through the crucial moments of Jane’s life, discovering what formed the passionate and fiercely independent character that breaks the mould of what a women’s place was expected to be in Victorian society.
